Dr. Curtis Merriweather, Jr.

Curtis A. Merriweather, Jr was named an entrepreneurial game changer by the White House in 2020. Curtis is an accomplished Senior Executive, Advisor, Practitioner-Scholar, and Thought Leader with more than twenty-six (26+) years of success across the aerospace and defense industries. His broad areas of expertise include capture management, corporate strategy, cyber-security, entrepreneurship, information technology, innovation management, and strategy. In addition, Curtis serves on various boards within the public and private sectors. In addition, Curtis is an active contributor to the Academy of Management (AoM) and the Association for Research on Nonprofit Organizations and Voluntary Action (ARNOVA) as a researcher and reviewer. Curtis studied computer engineering at the University of South Carolina while working providing contracting support to Bechtel and Westinghouse at the Department of Energy in Aiken, South Carolina.  Curtis obtained his Master's in Business Administration (MBA) and Master's in Project Management from the Citadel. While supporting the Department of Defense, Curtis obtained his Systems Planning, Research, Development, and Engineering (SPRDE) Level III and Program Management Level II certifications from the Defense Acquisition University (DAU). Moreover, Curtis has a Ph.D. in Management from Case Western Reserve University. His research interest includes cognition and decision-making when using technology-enabled systems to perform work.
